Scientists and personal experience have determined the truth of global warming for many - that in itself confirms the mayan prophecy of stressful environmental conditions. You are right in that we need to look past the difficulties toward what Calleman and others see as the purpose of the process that started with the big bang at the beginning of the universe and in some way involves a new and advanced stage in human consciousness.
